Membership
 

IPMS Ottawa is a local chapter of the International Plastic Modellers Society, and was established in 1966 as one of the first Canadian IPMS local chapters. As of 2024, our club has approximately 70 registered members that have a passion for plastic scale models of all types – aircraft, military vehicles, automotive, ships, figures, science fiction, and more. While we recognize there are many different types of scale models, IPMS Ottawa focuses on plastic scale models.
 
 

Joining IPMS Ottawa

We will resume accepting membership fees in January 2024 at the low price of only $30 per calendar year.
Visitors to the club may attend two grace club meetings to decide whether or not to join the club.

We maintain a presence on the Internet (this website) and also on our Facebook group.
A monthly Build Day drop-in channel (using Zoom) is typically held on the second Saturday of each month.

In order to communicate with our members, we require their full name and current contact information – for example: email address and/or phone number. E-mail is our primary method of communication. We periodically send out messages for meeting reminders, important club announcements, notifications of upcoming events, or other hobby-related topics that are likely to be of interest.
By joining IPMS Ottawa, you inherently give us permission to contact you for the aforementioned purposes.

Membership Renewal

Membership renewals for returning members are due by the start of the February club meeting, each year.
We send out reminder messages when membership renewal time is approaching.
The annual membership fee is $30.
